Katie Stalter

I am so excited to be joining the CCDS Family! I graduated from Chico State with my bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management in 2007. I met my now husband while working at Tri Counties Bank.  After graduating, I moved to Sacramento, then to Santa Cruz for my husband’s job. I was super lucky to be able to be a stay-at-home mom when my two boys were born, and we had so much fun living in a State Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains! We soon realized that we missed Chico and wanted to raise our family here, and returned in 2015. 

Growing up, my favorite teacher was Mr. Lee, in 5th grade. I remember really loving learning about weather science, clouds and how and why the weather behaved as it did, and having dance parties when we couldn’t sit still. I loved that he was engaging, and not afraid to have fun and be silly with the kids. 

I enjoy spending time with my husband and boys, as well as our 2 dogs, and 3 cats. I also love reading, especially sharing my love of books with my boys, traveling to new places, and anything Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Harry Potter!
