Katie Hunter

My family and I are so happy to be back in Chico and back at Chico Country Day after living in both Vegas and Southern California for the past three years! Before moving, our oldest daughter attended CCDS for kindergarten and 1st grade. Now that we are back, both of my children are students, and I’m so excited to be working as the RTI Coordinator!

I attended both San Diego State and Chico State, and have had several jobs in education- working in early mental health, special education, and teaching both kindergarten and 2nd grade to name a few!

My favorite teacher was someone I was lucky enough to have for both 4th and 5th grade, Mr. Nielsen. He made learning so fun, and I have the best memories from those years.

My favorite thing to do is be with my wonderful husband and two amazing girls. Some of my other favorite things are: spending time with friends, summertime, being outside, lemon flavored anything, water sports, shopping, and traveling. We also own an Airbnb and I spend a lot of time hosting and preparing for our guests!
