Denai Rubio

I feel so blessed everyday that I step foot on our amazing campus. We have the BEST students, families and staff. I have been a part of our community since 2012, starting as a parent and now as a teacher.  My experience being in the classroom as a volunteer and room parent reminded me of my love for working with children and teaching, which eventually led to me going back to school and getting my teaching credential at Chico State in 2019.  I am so excited to be entering my 2nd year in 5th grade at CCDS, and my 5th year teaching. 

Along with being a teacher I am a mama to two amazing girls that have both been through Chico Country Day School. Outside of work in my free time I love to be outdoors, travel, and backpack with my family.  My favorite travel experience so far has been hiking the Inca Trail in Machu Picchu with my husband. One thing I hope to pass on to my students is my love of reading, “There is no adventure too large to experience through the pages of a good book!”  I cannot wait to spend the next year with your amazing 5th grader.
