Measure K Outdoor Improvement Project
Project Background: What is Measure K?
Measure K is the $152 million school bond passed in 2016. Along with the passing of Measure K, Chico Unified School District (CUSD) agreed to allocate 15.34 percent of funds for Chico's charter schools.
CCDS utilized XXX of our allocated Measure K funds to update buildings on our elementary campus. This project was completed XXX.
During the September 2023 Board Meeting, CUSD approved our outdoor project proposal. With the remaining allocated Measure K funds, CCDS is now set to begin our outdoor improvement project.
Project Overview & Proposal
This $500K bond-funded project will improve outdoor spaces for all students, including:
- Nature based play elements
- A garden and nature based outdoor classroom
- Shade structures
- More drinking fountains
- Field improvements
- And much much more!
