Nicole Nye

I’ve been at CCDS since the first year. I ran the After School Program while attending college and obtaining my teaching credential. I knew right away that this school was where I wanted to teach. Since then, I’ve taught a year of 3rd grade, a year of 4th grade and 17 years of Kindergarten. This is my 4th year of teaching TK and I absolutely love it! It’s been so fun creating this program for the youngest students at CCDS!

My favorite teacher was my Kindergarten teacher. I remember her kind smile, playing in the wooden play kitchen and eating graham crackers and milk for snack. As an adult, I ran into her at the grocery store. I was so excited to tell her that she inspired me to become a teacher and that I was teaching Kindergarten as well! My favorite field trip was going to environmental camp in 6th grade. I loved being outside enjoying nature, building forts and participating in the fun team building activities.

I was born and raised in Chico! I love crafting, scrapbooking, and especially, spending time with my family, friends and my two dogs!
