| | CCDS is a high quality and highly successful public school. We are known as an exemplary charter school with a unique curricular design, rigorous standards and a safe, nurturing environment that educates the whole child. Our community expects our students to be high achievers and good citizens. With support from parents and community members, we are on the leading edge of educational reform.
With financial support from parents, our Board of Directors, our staff, friends, community members and foundations, we have met and exceeded our goals. To maintain our status as one of the best public schools in the North State, we must continue to supplement our programs.
The State of California funds approximately 90% of the Chico Country Day School budget. The programs that make CCDS special are not provided for by our great state. These enrichment programs include art and music for all grade levels, strings for fourth graders, beginning and advanced band for 5th and 6th graders, our Outdoor Classroom & Environmental Science program, our Library, and lower than average class sizes, as well as our facility. Additionally, our staff is highly trained and qualified, with professional development and mentoring a high priority. Our kind and courteous staff knows and cares for each student here at CCDS, creating a safe and secure environment for optimized learning. The unfunded 10% creates a funding gap of approximately $323 per CCDS student.
Our goal for this year of fundraising is to raise that $323 per student or $100,000, with 100% family participation, at any level that each family feels is appropriate. Please support our school by giving to the Chico Country Day School Annual Fund.

The CCDS Annual Fund
This is the first year of the CCDS Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is the major fundraiser of the year and will provide critical support for our operating budget to offset expenses that are not covered by state funding. eScrip
Visit www.escrip.com – sign up for eScrip and help raise money for our programs by just doing the shopping that you normally do. It’s easy! Participating eScrip merchants contribute up to 10% of a debit or credit card purchase, even just purchasing groceries, back to CCDS. Participating merchants include Safeway, MasterCard, VISA, Macy’s and American Express.
Raley’s and Albertsons participate in their own programs. Raley’s cards are available in the school office and Albertsons cards are available at your local store.
Washington Mutual
With enrollment in the WaMoola for Schools® program, your Washington Mutual Visa® Check Card purchases benefit Chico Country Day School. There's no cost to you to enroll. You use the card when you shop, Washington Mutual makes the donation, and CCDS gets cash—with no strings!
Annual Auction
Each year CCDS hosts an art auction. This is a schoolwide event where each class designs and makes a project that is auctioned. Dinner, drinks and dancing are included in this “adult night out” fun event. Many local businesses generously donate items to bid on and win.

Bike for Books and Bytes
Help us improve the research capabilities of our library!
A few crazy CCDS parents figured we can raise money for our school’s library by riding 200 miles between Seattle and Portland this summer! All money is to be used to buy new books and computers to improve and grow our children’s access to information. Our goal is to add computers and reference books for research to our library this summer in preparation for the next school year.
